Pursuant to updated FHA initiatives, effective 1/1/2011, all Sponsored Originators will lose their access to FHA Connection. In order to best assist our broker partners REMN has developed procedures for the ordering and updating of FHA Case Numbers. Please go to www.remnwholesale.com and choose FHA Case No. on the left-side menu bar. It is important that you choose the correct operations center and also please be aware that the only way to request a case number is on-line (email or fax requests will not be accepted). The estimated turn-time for receiving the case number assignment is 24 hours which takes into account FHA’s validation process and the clearance of any warning messages. Once received back by REMN, we will email the FHA Case Assignment to the individual listed on the request form.
During the processing of your loan transaction the FHA Case Assignment will likely need to be revised for various reasons such as: updating the assigned appraiser, borrower additions or removals etc… Please use the same request button, choose Update Order, then the change type from the appropriate drop-down so that we can process the revision. Once again, please remember to choose the correct operations center to submit your request so that there will be no delays in processing time.
Please note: The loan does not have to be registered or locked to submit your request and we recommend you request the case number as early as possible in the transaction.
Finally, please remember that our broker partners are still responsible for providing CAIVRS, LDP and GSA checks.
The LDP check of your applicants, realtors, sellers, settlement agents, appraiser, loan officer, and loan processor can be performed at this FHA website: https://www5.hud.gov/ecpcis/main/ECPCIS_List.jsp
The GSA check of your applicants, realtors, sellers, settlement agents, appraiser, loan officer, and loanprocessor can be performed at this FHA website: https://www.epls.gov/
